I need advice on whether or not i have this job or not.? |
I applied for a CNA position in a hospital. They called me the same day they got my application and we set up a interview. I went on the interview and the lady was talking as if i got the job. Telling me about training, and showing me around, and even telling me i would be working with another new CNA. I didn't hear anything for a week, so i gave her a call, and she said i am DEFINATELY getting a call in a couple days, she just has to talk to human resources. It's been a week. No phone call. Is it fair to say i don't have this job? or should i call again? What would you do? Call again if you want the job. If you want to be more aggressive, you can tell them that you have another offer that you are considering exploring and that it is essential to hear something definite from them as soon as possible. Where I'm from there is a serious lack of health care professionals, and it sort of surprises me that they are taking so long getting back to you. Call again!!!!!! That happened to me with this job I have now. It turned out they were just very busy and kind of put me on the back-burner. I had kind of assumed I didn't get the job, but then they called and gave me my start-date and salary. I felt weird calling and calling, so I think I only called once. It took about a week and 1/2 I think until they called me back. Definitely call again. They'll see that you're dedicated. No, you did not get the job. You were interviewed by someone who DOES NOT know how to interview properly. HE or SHE was just being personable, and using kindness when they should have been asking you pertinent questions and finding out if you were a good fit for the position. If you happen to get the job, it will be a surprise to you and them. I was called for 2 months straight 3-5 times a week. They finally set up my interview and hired me on the spot. The reason I mentioned that is I believe that if you really want this job, then go for it. |
