How can we compete with China to provide human resources to other countries in the world to meet their demand?

By 2020 it is expected there will be huge human resource demand in many parts of the globe to perform basic skill work like driving, plumbing, electrical work and construction related work. Only China and India can meet the demand through out sources. For what we should do in our skill training?

It has to be realized every country has its unique competitive advantages, consequently disadvantages. Just like China is not India, the opposite is also true. The human resources in both countries are of a different nature. China is good at assembly line manufacturing with a cheap labor force that is disciplined, nationalistic with an inherent sense of quality consciousness.

The above factors are missing in the Indian market and India can focus on providing labor for the service sector which is more loosely structured and intellectually based. From this point of view
legal and financial services, billing, coding, medical diagnosis and a host of other knowledge based specialties that can be transmitted online can be the core of Indian competency.

If India tries to follow China's template in manufacturing it will be a costly mistake since it will indeed be decades before goods "manufactured" in India will be considered of a high quality able to withstand global competition. However, small cottage based heritage products offer a global niche for Indian artisans like embroidery, handicrafts, sculptures, artifacts, handloom etc. etc. the value added in this respect being in the hand-made appeal of these products in an increasingly mechanical age.
