Diffeentiate between training and development? |
I am studing Diploma in Human resource development so i need the answer for this. thank you very much , waiting for your answer Training is defined as a set of activities designed to develop specific skill levels of workers who are required to perform functions or tasks while development is determining of the best techniques for applying a new device or process to production of goods or services In organizational development, the related field of training and development (T & D) deals with the design and delivery of workplace learning to improve performance. Training is making personnel participate in job-related activities, leading to an increase of skills in their work-output. Development is the process in which a person's skills grow and improve, by degrees, to more and more advanced or mature stages. if u hve it to b simple, 1.training is given of the employees who is newly entered the firm and knew nothing abt it, while developement is given to executives in changes of technology in firm or when they are promoted to a different job 2.training is given for non-managerial personnels, while developement is for managerial personnel 3.training is for a short span and developement is for the long run. by the way i'm doing hrd too, not in diploma but as a study, interesting subject isn't it? Trainning is an activity to guide the action and development is implemanting the action planned during trainning Training-to direct the growth of a plant or a person Training a child to speak english is great for his furture Development-Growing ,becoming stronger or more advanced The development of his english vocabulary will make him a more advaneced reader Train: to make or become prepared. Develop: to go through a natural process of growth. You do own a dictionary, right? |
