Employment At Will? |
Here's a devil's advocate question for you to consider: Many companies have "employment at will policies". For such companies, why are these human resource considerations and transition plans even relevant? They can fire you for any reason w/o notice or severance. In other words it cuts their loss and it helps protect them from wrongfull dismissal lawsuit's. No "employment at will" contract can protect a company from charges of racism, genderism, gender preference, agism and sectism (at least in the US). |
