Which is better?

I dont know which pathwy to follow when i leave school and these are things i have in my mind.
Accounting
Business Administration
or
Human resource.

the thing is that i want to choose the higer paying job and also not tooo much stress. I dont mind stress but not to much hope you know what i mean. Im planning to work in India or Sri Lanka. I just want to now which i better with not to much stress but higher paying job. Every job have stress but yeh a job with higher paying init.

Thanx for your help in this matter.

Generally speaking, accounting will pay more to start, followed by business administration (assuming you get in a management training program), and then human resources. That's starting pay coming out of college.

Now, as to the stress level. If you're concerned about stress, forget business administration/management. Those positions are day to day stress, and you rarely/never get to a stress free position. Even the CEO's have a board and shareholders to answer to.

Accounting tends to be stressful at month end, more so at quarter end, and very highly stressful at year end and tax time. Also, if you happen to uncover an accounting error, be prepared for a great deal of stress to get the error unwound as quickly as possible. I've found that this stress eventually becomes "routine", meaning you get used to it because you know when it's coming.

Human resources for the most part is not stressful day-to-day in and of itself. However, when situations do arise there is a very high level of stress that can last for a good while. Imagine being involved in the layoff of 5% of the work staff. The stress isn't in the layoffs -- it's dealing with the rumor mill and gossip generated by the 95% that DIDN'T get laid off. Not to mention having to deal with dress code violations, attendance issues, employee to employee conflicts. Let's say this is irregular but intense stress.

Accounting - Higher pay, regular known periods of stress
Business Admin - Moderate pay, constant stress
Human Resources - Lower pay, irregular intense stress

From your description, it sounds to me like you should target accounting.

I don't live in neither of those places and you're going to find stress everywhere you go. You shouldn't pick the high paying job b/c it pays more. You pick what you think you would enjoyh doing and get paid well while you're at it. The more pay, the more stress. As for the US that's what it is, have no idea about sri lanka or India.
