Is it legal to hire a new employee without interviewing all internal applicants first? |
I work at a corporation. I applied for a position, and haven't been granted an interview yet. I read a circulated email that stated they were planning on bringing on a new employee soon to fill this role. It is legal for my company to hire a new employee and not grant me an interview for this position even after i sent a posting to human resources? It's absolutely legal. Sometimes a company just feels like it needs some "new blood" or a fresh approach in a particular position. Some positions also require particular education elements or prior experience. Of course it is. A company is not obligated to hire from within. They are totally within their rights. |
