What do the Human Resources terms "OD" and "OE" stand for?


Can someone please tell me what the abbreviations above stand for? I have looked online and found contradictory definitions for OD (such as operational development, organisational development...which is right?!) and can't find anything for OE. Does anyone work in this field who can tell me? Thanks in advance.

The standard use of 'OD' and 'OE' is:

OD = Organisational Development
OE = Organisation Effectiveness

organisational development.

OE - back in the 90's this stood for Operational Effectiveness, there were lots of OER's - operational effectiveness reviews to justify downsizing and redundancies.
