Consulting? |
I am an undergrad at NYU studying Economics and I have a high GPA. I want to do consulting but I really don't know which sector to work in. I am a people person and I prefer to work in a sector that involves a lot of human interaction and less number crunching. Even though my major is Econ, I don't really enjoy it too much so I'm pretty sure I don't want to do Economic Consulting. Please help! Thanks If you don't want to do "number cruching" you might want to reconsider consulting, graduate entry level is usually as an analyst, which involves a lot of crunching and reserching. Energy Consultnig has given me a great start in the field. I made a boatload of money and always go back to it whenever I can't find other stimulating project work. There is a lot of jargon but once you become an insider, you can definitely command an outstanding pay package. Your indication that you are a people person puts you dead in the center of the HR world but I would go for a spin like the HR world within the energy industry. Keeps you in that sector, keeps you connected and allows you to explore further options within the energy field. try hr consulting but before that acquire relevant qualification in hr.economics subject will also be useful later. |
