Which Job Should I choose?

Last week i had a interview at university of phoenix for a enrollment counselor position. I haven't heard back from HR but I contacted the person who interviewed me and he said that I have been hired as far as he knows for a march training class. He will look into it tomorrow for me. The pay is 33k per year plus benefits plus i get my tuition for free. After 6 months, if i do well signing up students, i can get a 20% pay increase which is about 40k. Not bad for a 22 year old. I like this job idea alot cause im trying to finish my bachelors degree which is not to far away. Only 16 more classes to go!

Another job I was offered is to be a loan officer at a mortgage company. A normal 9 hour day five days a week job. 2k a month salary plus benefits plus i get commission on every loan I do. My supervisor said that there is no reason why I shouldn't make over 6k a month. They supply the leads.

I wanna finish up the degree but i do like the idea of all that money,

Don't let your greed get the better of you! :-) Keep in mind that sales is a very difficult job and not very many people can do it successfully. Plus, for this loan officer position, you would be banking on assumed wages, not realistic wages and there's a *big* difference between 2k and 6k a month.

For the University of Phoenix posiiton, first I would wait until I had received confirmation of a job offer, lest I count my chickens before they hatch. But, if it does come through, your beginning pay would be $2750 a month, before taxes. Depending on where you live, this is a good wage, especially for someone as young as yourself. If, on top of this, you can complete your degree for free, I'd say go for this one. An education is expensive, but it stays with you for life. And if they're willing to take the "expensive" part out of that equation, you'll be doing brilliantly!

Finish your degree, that should be your priority. The number of times I watched people with lots of experience but no degree get passed over for someone with no experience but a degree in an unrelated field... In America, the degree is best. In Britain, experience is best. I know, I've lived in both places....
