Career change needed. What am I qualified for now after 12 years on same job?

I have worked at a top University for 12 years as an Administrative Assistant. I have a bachelors degree in General Studies (Business, Computer, Botany and English). I have worked in Academics as well as Operations at the Univ. The problem is that I do not wish to be an overworked, underappreciated Adm. Asst. all my life. I am so burnt out. The department I currently work for over uses my skills and I receive nothing for it. When I raise this issue, I am told basically that all given to me somehow is under my job description. They are even going to rewrite my PD adding even more to my list. I am doing over 50% of their duties as well as my own large list of duties. They are both in management above me so saying no is rough when they hold your job in their hands. This is a high volume company with over 40 employees and two hugh POS programs running parallel. I am their HR department, full accounting department including reconciliation of GL, billing, AR, AP...,

What do you want to do in your next position? Is there anything that you currently do that you like more than other responsibilities? Start here and focus on moving to another career that centers on this interest. It may be HR, Accounting or something else that you have been exposed to.
Once you determine your interests, write your resume to highlight your experiences in this area and start your search.

Is or is going to be tight job market. Be best to look at moving out of town or state to another University. Or you can work to increase your education level there by changing tour job chances .

Let me tell you about a gentleman I know, he was a college Dean, but found even at that position he was not earning enough.
One day a colleagues wife invited him to look at a home based opportunity, he decided to go along out of politeness, with no intention of doing any thing further about it, however what he saw changed his life.
He and his business partner, another friend of mine, are now multi-millionaires.
I have listed a web site under sources which has a video on it which will give you an overview of the industry in which he works, it relates to no special company but does give an excellent idea of the industry. I have also put my friends web site there too.
Once you have had a look at them, feel free to email me for any more information you might like. I have some other web addresses which might be of interest.
