Job as a hotel room cleaner?

I have done all sorts of work over the last two years ad i have to find work again..
I got a card for a hotel in Melbourne Australia,from a friend of my mums. Se said they are looking for people to clean the rooms. What is this job like?

I would imagine that the job is quite physical in nature. A lot of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, using chemicals to clean that can be toxic/poisonous.

There is a site for US careers albeit you're from Australia: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'building cleaning workers' and get a basic idea of some of the duties required though the entry is just for general purposes.

Me and had to clean some ones house, and they were rich pack rats, they had so many little statues and boots and clothes and pillows and everything! dusting was a pain in the ***, but this job isn't bad, if its a clean good hotel then you won't have a hard time, but once in a while theres gonnna be those people that are just gonna throw everyhting all over the place and you're gonna have to clean it all up...

I think that would kind of be a hard job. Some people might be neat and clean, but you might have to clean up after some not so clean people as well. Making unnecessary messes in the room and the bath room.
