Care package..need ideas of what to send?

my best friend has to do a 3 week training program for his job in about a month so he will be working 12 hours a day for 21 days straight (he will make great money but thats alot to handle!!) . since he will be staying in a hotel with 5 other guys i was thinking of sending him some stuff like home made cookies, some chips and snacks but i cant think of anything else to send..please help..they are all 21+ so not sure what to send

i was gunna send a bunch fo nips and shot glasses plus some drinking games they can play in the hotel but i heard its illegal to mail alcohol..is that really illegal and if so why..is it because you could be mailing it to minors and they cant guarantee who will receive it?

haha i actually thought about that but that might be weird since me and him dated for 2 years and hes actually not into porn (hes middle eastern so its a cultural thing..i know he watches it but he refuses to talk about it) plus the other guys are all married (older) and i dont think their wives would be amused lol it did cross my mind tho lol

I'm not sure about the legality of mailing alcohol. It may just be that it is a hazard - the bottle could break (even if it's not glass) etc. If you want to send alcohol, is there any way you could stash it in his luggage before he leaves? Th en it would be a surprise when he unpacks.

Home made cookies are a fantastic idea. I think you could also make and send a mix CD for him to listen to. Does he like to read? He may have some down time in which he doesn't feel like partying, and it would be nice to have a good book to crack into. Or maybe just a magazine or 2 to flip through. If he drinks coffee, you could get some sample size flavored coffees to send, so he doesn't have to drink the crummy hotel coffee.

Teh cookies and snacks are awesome. You can really win by sending some ghetto bootleg porn. They will get a good laugh out of that. Make sure its funny like skinny old women with fat guys or something like that.

They can always buy their own alcohol, but you can still send the shot glasses!

deck of cards
magazines
beef jerky or beef logs w/cheese and crackers
hand-held game of some sort
jigsaw puzzle of a semi-nude (they won't get that together fast enough!)

I agree on the porn. Good joke. Food is great. Make it a variety of sweets and salty snacks. Chips, candy bars, cookies, etc.

You can't mail alcohol to some states. State law. The whole interstate commerce deal you learned about in middle school social studies. I live in Maryland and we can't have any alcohol (wine, beer, liquor) mailed to us. We have to have it mailed to a friend or relative in Delaware, Penn. or Virginia, whichever border you're closer to.
