How do you get hotel front desk experience if no one will hire you without it?

I think i would be great working at a front desk at a hotel, but everyone ive applied to says I need exp to the job. Ive tried big chains, small chains, hotel, motels, but its always the same answer. Its really frusterating. Please help!

Lie. It's really the only way to get into a job that you want. Think about if you get caught lying... they might not give you the job.
Yes I know...America is BS is it not? They want entry level people for a job, but then they say they want 2-3 years of experience, etc, etc...

Get a hook up! thats all I can tell you..

However, there are certain jobs that dont really require too much experience, you may just have to work your way up. If you were a woman it would have been easier, or maybe you are a woman i didnt really check.. Anyway..

Good Luck!
Well you always have to start out somewhere. Experience working at a "front desk" can come from quite a few different areas. At a front desk you are not only catering to each and every customer that comes through the door, but you are also the first person they see. Whether it is accepting payment, directing them to their rooms, providing wake up calls, you get the point. You are pretty much representing the hotel with your smiling face and happy personality.

A "front desk" worker at a fast food chain is identically doing the same thing. You are once again the first person the customer sees, and are representing that restaurant. They are both customer service positions. Later in life if you continue to progress in this field or if you decide to take up business in college you will begin to see, "It is all about the customer!" They keep the restaurant or hotel open and running. Without them you have none of it. Not even your paycheck. "The customer pays your paycheck" is a good way to think of things someday that you are having a bad day.

Hope this helps you out. See if any of the past positions that you have held can add customer service experience to your resume that you had not thought of earlier. This way when the employer asks why you should get the job? your response should be, that you understand the customer and what it is like being one yourself, and also that you have experience in catering to their needs wherever you did it at.
Actually, one of my first jobs was a front desk clerk for a Comfort Inn.
