Career path in hotel industry?

I am trying to figure out what exactly to study in college and how to go about my aspirations of getting high up in the corporate world of hotels. I was wondering what a good starting point would be. What I would need to study in college. Once im out of college what do I pursue as a job? How I "climb the corporate ladder" in the hotel world? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated! I feel really lost right now!!!

business classes, i dont think college really has a strictly hotel course, but if you go to business school or some junior colleges you can find a hotel hospitality course. you likely will start on the front desk and work toward the offices and move up to management. you may have to go through several hotels though before you find one that really has a lot of movement, here in las vegas could be a good choice.

You can take some courses in community college. The best thing is going to the library and do your research about getting best education as possible you can. Also, you can go to Regional Occupational Program that offers free classes in your community and have internships without paying . It will highlight on your resume ...

What I have found is keep sending out your resume - I found a web site that specializes in Jobs in the hotel industry.
