I am a Business Management Graduate, have worked in a hotel for seven years is there any job available for me?

The simple answer to your query is; Yes! Just with your degree, and a successful work record, you have many, many opportunities open to you! For one, there's the U.S. Government's Job website; www.usajobs.gov where you can find plenty of opportunities within your field. I would like to point out though, that studies have shown that less than 40% of ppl actually work in their degree fields; just having the discipline to get a degree is what employers are looking for, not necessarily a degree in the field you are seeking employment in.

I worked in the hotel industry for ten years and graduated last year with a business degree. I now have a fantastic well paid area management job (not in the hotel industry). When applying for jobs I emphasised my skills from working in hotels and catering and demonstrated how they would apply in the job. People skills and customer care are important, and the ability to take initiative, problem solve and make decisions. If you have been at the same hotel for seven years that demonstrates loyalty and commitment also. I found that the industries that will most value hotel industry workers with a business degree are sales and retail as they are customer focussed careers.
