House keeping in hotel? |
house keeping in hotel how is it ? how much money you earn in an hour? what kind of job is this ? is this a hard job? what time most they are available? do you need speak english fluently? input will affriciated... I worked as a house keeper at a hotel for about 2 weeks...during the summer...It was soo freaking hot..I couldnt stand it. It wasnt a hard job..but sometimes the rooms were DISGUSTING. You just go and clean all the rooms...wash ALL the bedding and towels...make all the beds...clean bathrooms and take out trash...but you do like 50 rooms a day...then you gotta do laundry...your on your feet all day and its either Freezing cold...or Hot as Hell...no you do not even have to speak english at all...its not hard..but its not fun or glamourous...you sweat a lot. you can pretty much get a job as a house keeper at any motel or hotel..just go in and apply. They are always hiring..hope that helps. O...and you can get paid any where from 5 to 8 bucks an hour. 1. its a tough job, alot of exercise and hard on your body. But its consistent and once you find a steady balance its okay from then on. Dont get to close to the other workers, It usually becomes a problem. 2. maybe 5.50 but its sometimes better to get paid by the room if you are assigned alot of them. Some place are different. Depends on where you live. But its usually minimum wage. 3. Its housekeeping. Cleaning, vaccuming, changing bed sheets, dusting, cleaning comodes (toilets) bathtubs...Daily. theres more to it. 4. I wouldnt call it a hrad job everyday is different. Somedays you will work very hard with alot of rooms others you may only have a few days but youll get out early. You just need to set a pace and go with it. 5. Not sure what u mean on this one? You can always find a job in housekeeping. But you might want to try getting a front desk job at a hotel. 6. No not really. You wont do much speaking to anyone. You'll clock in get your job done, clock out and then go home. But you do need to be ablke to communicate with your boss. I worked housekeeping in a busy tourist area and cleaning peoples homes for 10 years It is fast paced, you work alone, sometimes in teams, usually alone though. It can be back-breaking, though can keep you in shape. In depends on the area, here in a tourist area you can make up to 8 dollars an hour. Less in the city and other areas. Though if you are working at the local 5 star hotel, it might be more. (I recommend working for a Hampton Inn hotel) It can be demanding for you to get your tasks done in a certain time. They want you to work weekends and usually anywhere from 9-4, usually less and sometimes on call. No, you don't have to usually be fluent in English. I would recommend at looking into condo cleaning and cleaning services that hire, they pay more and you work in groups. http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=hotel+house... |
