Hospitality and Hotel management? |
I want to know the difference between Hotel management and Hospitality management? Career in Hospitality management. I'm for sure is not looking forward for a job of a waitress or bar tender or any such service.. plz reply in detail and informative answers are required. Hospitality is a contemporaneous human exchange, which is voluntarily entered into, and designed to enhance the mutual being of the parties concerned through the provision of accommodation, and/or food, and/or drink. Lashley and Morrison (2000, p.142) Hotel management is all about the services and functions INSIDE A HOTEL. While, hospitality can expand to restaurants, bars, pubs (any Food and beverage department) and something the above definition doesnt put forward, is that hospitality management can be the provision of services such as Conference centres, theme parks, sports facilities, casinos, entertainment centers etc. |
