What is Guest Relation Officer and what does this department do in hotel?Is it only exis in 5 stars hotel?


My friend said that GRO is like a Public Relation in Hotel...but i still confuse about it. I want to know what does the people do in this department? Is it a hard job to do? do the people here must be an updated person? they said it is only exis in five star hotel? why?

The Guest Relation Officer is also called Public Relation Officer. They are responsible for welcoming and arranging accommodation et al for all visitors or guests in to a hotel.
