Hi,I would love to manage a bed and breakfast(hands on),I use to be head house keeper/receptionist in a hotel? |
what I would like to know is where are these jobs advertised also are there any short courses that I can go on ? I have tried search engines but only bring up bed and breakfast to stay at nothing regarding manager jobs thanks anyone! If you are wanting to Manage in your own area, try the Thomson Yellow pages and ring them up and ask if they have any openings. Follow this up with a copy of your CV and ask them to keep your name on their records. You should enquire with the local council for what level of NVQ is needed and they will then point you in the direction of the relevant departments. Hope this is useful. i'm not sure you'll find any 'cos most of them are privately owned and run because the individuals concerned are retired or training their children on the job. very few of them look to invest in a manager. you'd have better luck looking for a house to turn into a b&b yourself. having said all that perhaps you can find commercial b&bs? the only other option i see is for you to write a letter advertising your availability to all b&bs. lots of paper, lots of writing but even as a lottery, i think doing that would seriously improve your chances. good luck. why not try buying one ,you can obtain mortgage for them .as to a coarse these can be arranged by a business transfer agent for you |
