Hida Canada Hotel, I never suspected that this is a scam. I have given my passport details & resident card? |
What can I do to stop them in using my documents for fraud. Is there any legal impediments that I may suffer because of this? I am a victim thru the internet, how can I get justice about this? I am always on a watch for fraud and scams, but this one, got me in the hook due to job postings. Can you give me any suggestion on how to correct this? Sorry could not be of more assistance. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! you said u are a victim of this kind of fraud (Hida Canada Hotel) thru the internet. but i would like to ask u in what way u are a victim? did the Hotel send u some kind of bills? usage of their commodities? etc? coz if not, even if u gave ur full identity to them, i think nothing u would lose. not unless when they send u some kind of bill for payment of something, as i had experienced before. *heres my case: i surfed the internet to look for a particular hotel for reservation. filled up the necessary information being asked like passport number, address, tel. and credit card number. u will be guided to the next page everytime u fill up the form til you will get the "CONFIRMATION" letter from the hotel. i had clicked a lot of times to receive the confirmation letter, but got NO one. so i stopped and closed/exit the page. as to my knowledge, since i did not get the confirmation letter, i thought, all was cancelled. but few months later (3months after), the credit card company sent me the bill for the usage of the hotel. I burst into anger and called the credit card company & explained everything that i did not check-in that hotel. i called up the hotel and asked explantion about the bill. they sent me the copy of the confirmation letter thru email. i told them that i did not receive that confirmation letter hence i closed/exit from ur homepage. the hotel management did not believe in me. so i told them to wait actions from my credit card company and see who will lose this battle. 6months later, i got an apology letter from the Hotel management and receive back the payment debited from my account. <<>>so better have a more careful in disclosing some private informations of urself esp over the internet because u will gonna face problems like i had. take good care always. this is the homepage i had been victimized: asiatravel.com lign="right" > Sign in to vote! lass="explain-text">Sometimes none of the answers get it just right.
