I need advice from event planners and/or those in hotel/tourism management? |
These are two career changes I'm thinking about pursuing. If the people responding to this are in either of these fields, please tell me how you pursued this career and were the courses tough? Are you enjoying this career? Is it profitable? Is it possible to have a decent paying job in either of these fields with just an associates degree or would I probably only start out at $10 per hour? I work in the industry and truly enjoy it. I am a Food & Beverage Director @ Holiday Inn, It does include planning catering events. If you like a challenging job you may enjoy this line of work. I also have an associates degree in Management but found my own experience is more handy. Yeah when you first start pay is on the low side but as you move along there are ample pay increase plus percentages on sales. I make a decent living and also receive alot of respect and have alot of chances for advancement. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! lass="explain-text">Sometimes none of the answers get it just right.
