What is the Going pay rate for a Guest Service Representative at a hotel? |
I'm going for a job at a Marriott residence inn, however I don't know what to ask for as far as pay is concerned.....any ideas? Marriott is a well established hotel, so chances are if you are in the mid-Atlantic states you could get 12 to 16 dollars an hour, up north you'll see a dollar or two less even though the cost of living is higher. In the south ( Fla, Al, Ms, Ar) you'll be lucky if you can get 10 bucks an hour tops. It really depends on the area, how close the hotel is to an airport, stuff like that. Probably $12 to $14. Night auditing can get you more. I use to do this type of work and Night auditing is less work for more pay if you can stand the hours. Usually 11 pm to 7 am. Not certain, but if Kobe Bryant checks in, be sure to give him a tour of the hotel - you could get millions! It's generally not too much. A dollar or so above minimum wage is about all you're gonna get unless you work the graveyard shift and also do night auditing. |
