If the author really is looking for a job in the United States, then searching through the internet will be advisable and he doesn't have to ask that question in this site, unless the author prefers answers out of experience. He didn't even bother to state his location since this page is global.

You should have stated where you're coming from. If you're a student, you can apply for a J-1 Visa. Other than that, you have to be a legal immigrant.

However, J-1 Visa is only offered during Summer and for jobs such as jobs in Six Flags Great America. If successful, you have to be back to your country of origin after working for a number of months. Of course your time should conform with the U.S. time especially the school opening.
