When is it acceptable to take an item off of your resume? |
Such as an old job: I am now 20 turning 21 and have many old jobs. Carvel, volunteering, catering hall, now one at home at a hotel and one at school at an arena. When is it acceptable to start getting rid of things I did when I was 15, or is it something I will always have to keep on my resume? If you have a few, i would custom tailor the resume for the job you are applying for. Usually I just keep my last three on there unless there is something really specific that pertains to the position I'm applying for. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! In a chronological resume it is best to keep the detail of the roles and responsibilities of your latest three jobs. The older jobs you should list but just the name of the company, your position and the dates of employment. If there is a specific skill from an old job that you want to communicate, you should put it in a "skills" section on your resume.
