What jobs can an 11 year old girl do? |
I am an 11year old in 5th grade. There are already babysitting courses that I can take and I have a few moms that would like me to babysit for them because I'm good with people and kids, but seriously, I really despise kids! I can really not handle them! I would like to work at a store, but I guess that's sort of impossible. I'm not very handy and really hate cleaning up stuff. You can tell by how messy my room is. I want to get a job outside of my family. I am very busy, but I should have some free weeks during the summer, which is when I want a summer job. My schedule is already very busy now. It's sort of cold now, but do you think I could set up a hot chocolate (for the winter) or lemonade stand (for the summer) or cookies stand because I love to bake---sometimes in the mall? Would I have to pay? I am in debt and I need to get through adolescent life and COLLEGE! (Columbia University preferably) What about being a Mothers Helper, or helping out your own Parents at home, for a more generous allowance ... Do any neighbors need some help that you can provide ? Im 11 and in 5th grade too. My friend got a job at this paintball joint called the bing shop, but i dont play there ever so i cant work with him. but it got me to thinking that i want a job really bad too. Im thinkin about caddying, but i dunno. (p.s. stl mo rox the suckaz.) If there's a golf course nearby, you could maybe become a golf caddy, or perhaps a ball-girl if there's a tennis club nearby. Or if you're any good with the sewing machine you could make and sell clothes or bags/purses on ebay. Or design your own t-shirts using your printer and special transfer paper (buy it in a craft or computer shop) and sell them to your friends or on ebay. Good luck! Hey at your age I would hang out and play with friends and enjoy life . All I ever thought about was working when I was a young boy and now that i am on my own and must work to support my family I wish i would have played more as a kid . At your age I had a job picking up Turkey eggs and chicken eggs at a local farm. It did not pay much but it was a job. I say hang out worry about money later . there are scholarships and stuff for Collage . Just me at 44 Others have mentioned surveys, and that is not an option, because you do have to be at lesat 13. It is a lot of time consuming surveys, though, and they aren't all for just cash. To legally work, you have to be 16. If you parents get you a work permit, you can start working at 15. Why do you want to start working at 11? You should enjoy life at that age. When you get to be an adult - well - it's not all it's cracked up to be. And you'll have times wishing things were simpler, like when you were a kid. And how are you in debt at age 11? Credit cards are not issued to anyone under the age of 18, and bank accounts (with NO credit limit) are only issued when a parent is there for sign with the minor. And if you set something up for cookies - you can't do it in front of a store. You have to get permission from the managers, first, and they are very tight-fisted and strict with what organizations are allowed to do similar things in front of their places of business. |
