What can I do to maintain the interior of my car cool in super hot conditions? Something to help the a/c...?

My a/c has been checked and is fine. However, during hot sunny days I feel as if it just is not doing the job. Any ideas?

Dark window tinting helps. There are probably several local companies that can apply window tint to your car for you, or you can buy the material to do it yourself at most auto parts stores. Some states have laws that set limits for window tinting, so make sure the tint color you use is legal in your state.

An extreme measure would be to paint the top of the car white to reflect the heat from the sunlight. The next time you go shopping for a car, look for a light colored car... white, silver, tan, etc.
