Why is he being hot and cold? Is he just quiet and shy and not knowing what to do or what ??????

Recently this guy I know started texting me saying he missed me since I moved away with my job. Was a bit surprised by this but realised I kinda like him now. Thing is he鈥檚 very hot and cold with me, he might text me today and I鈥檒l not hear from him for a few days. I saw him out recently and he came over talking all chatty and flirty and then kinda backed away after a certain point. It鈥檚 the same when we are texting he鈥檒l get to a certain point and then um maybe realises how far he鈥檚 gone.
We were sending a few 鈥渁dult鈥?texts the other night which je inniated and he seemed to be ok with that so maybe he鈥檚 getting somewhere! He must like me and I know he鈥檚 not seeing anyone at the moment but I don鈥檛 want to push it too much because he is a bit quiet anyway and don鈥檛 want to scare him off. So what do I do? Is he just quiet and shy and not knowing what to do or what ??????

it seems like he has the hots for you.........but it really seems like he's a shy guy, being that i used to be shy too. it seems like when he comes to step up to the plate( when he hits on you) he doesnt get the reaction he was hoping for, so he gets nervous or whatever and backs down a bit. If you really want him, be a lil obvious about how you feel....if you feel that you already are then only time will tell if he does like you or is just being friendly.

Maybe this is a confidence thing.

He builds himself up to talking to you, etc but then runs out of steam and things to say.
relationships start with friendship..NOT SEX. no doubt he's as red bl;ooded as teh rest of us, he just doesnt want to hump you straight away...

he's just nervous, don't worry about it. it will pass in time and he'll be a lot happier with you.
I think he might have a girl friend without you knowing.
He likes you a lot. It麓s very difficult to us to catch on when we are starting to fall in love. And when it happen, most of us use to have a extrange behaviour, maybe nervous or somethimes very outgoing. I suggest you let communication be open.
Be a little more direct, a little less sexual.
