What's the best way to clean a Rayburn whilst still hot? |
My Rayburn has to be on all the time. It desperately needs a good clean on top, old dried on grease and food splashes. I've tried hot water and soap, oven cleaner and bicarb, but nothing seems to be doing the job! Any suggestions please? Give Rayburn a `ring` they should know! I think they will tell you to let it go out and then give it a good cleaning. That is what I used to do when I had one. The trouble is that when hot it just makes the cleaning cloth stick to the surface, and as you wipe the dirt away, it just smears onto the surface again. Do be careful not to scratch or chip it, not only does it then look a bit tatty but the dirt and grease adheres to the spot and makes cleaning even more difficult. get someone else to do it good old brillo pad. Yes a brillo pad is ideal just not too hard so you don't scratch the enamel www.rayburn-web.co.uk/.../Rayb... - Supplemental R |
