My husband is a welder and he wants to work on an oil rig anyone know of some good companies?

I have already been to career builder and hot jobs and monster..its not giving me hardly any jobs t choose from..need some help

What country are you in? Here in Alberta, Canada there are tons of jobs for welders on rigs. My nephew is an oilfield welder who can't keep up to the work, his truck earns $1,100/day. I would recommend you google drilling companies in the area he wants to work, call them and ask them who they use for welders. Then contact the welding company. Or just google welding companies and call them to ask if they do oilfield. Another option is to order an Oilfield Directory for your area which lists al the welding companies.

go to lafayette louisiana. drive to New Iberia. down that road is side by side oil rig companies for miles, every one has help wanted signs on them. my son works down there. i rode down ther with hin about 1 month ago. i have never, in my life, seen so much work available.

i dont know company names, but it was at least 50 of them.

my son works for Rowan. he is 19, they pay him 14.95 hour, he had no skills other than he is a hard worker. he is a roustabout and works 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. works 84 hours each week.
