99 ford taurus blows warm air changed the thermostat hoses are getting hot but not hot air circulating in? |
the car the heater blower was replaced full job done on it Now i dont know where to begin If both hoses are hot the core may be bad. Also, there may be an electric diverter valve stuck in the closed or near closed position. Check your heater valvle, it will be in line with the heater hoses near the firewall. It is controlled buy a vacuum line or cable, check to see it the line is on, nor cracked or leaking, same if it is a cable, the cable is on and the valve turns, it isnt frozen. Take it back and explain to the shop manager or owner and let them have a second chance to make you happy. Could possibly be heater core plugged up may need cleaned out. ASE Certified Tech. I've never had any luck with Ford Taurus'. The tranny kept going on my '86 and the head gasket blew on my '91. Both of which had design flaws. Stupid Ford. |
