Does anyone know a good place not so hot, but good for the recovery of a rheumatoid arthritis patient?

I am only in my late 40's, I like to work a little bit more, thought not as much as before. I fell ill for Rheumatoid Arthritis for 4 years, and taking predisone for it. I went through hell dealing with the pains. Now, the spring water seems to work. However, I must move to a new place where I can find a job. Does anyone know of a non-desert place with weather that don't inflict arthritis pains?

I only know that the reason I am here in 'hotter than hell' Arizona is because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've had it since age 3 and I'm 40 now. My heart goes out to you, though, living without it and then being struck with it suddenly. I think I'm blessed to not know what it would be like to not have the disease. Anyhow, I don't know where to tell you because everywhere is either humid, rainy, damp, cold, or you have dry heat. Dry heat is best for us. Maybe New Mexico. Texas or Oklahoma. I'd love to live up north where it snows and maybe someday I'll JUST DO IT! Cold hurts a bit, rain hurts more. Humidity is painful so look for any place with low humidity year round. I know you don't want to hear it but...the desert, my dear, is your friend! Sorry to hear it! Take care of yourself!
Anyplace that has a drier heat will help. Warm and dry is a great healer for arthritus. Anywhere there's high humidity will only make it worse.
My wife has RA...and we live in Phoenix which is as hot as you can get. The heat works well for her, but so did Maui.

What I can't tell you is whether your RA is weather sensitive or not. She has had EXCELLENT results with Embrel, combined with accupuncture.

If you can afford Maui, grab it. If not, try Embrel
Drink apple cider vinegar mixed with water. Approximately 2 tbls spoons in an 8 oz glass of water 2 times a day will help you immensely. Also, read the book: you're not sick, you're thirsty. Lots of luck and good wishes too. Think positive. I was told 7 years ago that I was going to die and needed a heart transplant. I am still here and looking forward to my first marriage soon. I do not believe what doctors say half the time. They are prophets of doom. With a little research and good reading skills, I am still thriving.
