Why is it so hard to find a good employer that is respectful?

I have had three jobs working for some what large companys all of which had very hot headed and temperamental boses. They don't treat the employes with any type or respect they always talk down to you like you are a slave and they can't seem to under stand how to talk to people. they will yell at you for doing some thing wrong instaed of simply telling you what it was you did and they will make you look like a fool in front of costomers. Does money have this affect on pepole or is it just because they were spoiled when they where kids? Is it because all of my jobs (I have quit the last two) are low paying?

My current job I make 10 dollars an hour and I work 45 hours a week. I am twenty years old and I need a good job with respectful poeple. what do you suggest? I am good with fixing cars or any thing mecanical I have good computer skills, I'm also good whith electronics and I have decent welding skills.

My experience sais that people work very hard to be able to treat the people below them like slaves. That is the corporate ladder at work. People think that they have to be mean in order to encourage productivity. I have had a couple jobs with respectful bosses but when that is the case the company treats us all like dirt and we sort of ganged together. I am now self-employed which is much easier but not reinforced by the society, it has its prices (insurance credit etc) Self employment is the way to go if you cant handle people power-tripping over you......
