Is it possible to get herpes from a hand job?

Last weekend i got a hand job from a girl who has rumored to have herpes (although she has many times said she has nothing - im not even sure if its true but i am still freaking out). She briefly touched her genitals and then performed the hand job.

In the worst case scenario, if she does have herpes and had vaginal fluid on her hand, how at risk am i for the infection?
I have looked up symptoms of herpes ( no blisters or sores so far) but i am unsure if i am just so paranoid that i am talking myself into early signs. (this seems easy to do for me, as i have been very paranoid about STD's in the past and for no good reason)

Also, how long after i fear i've been infected will the result show up in a blood test?

Any help is very much appreciated, I feel i am driving myself insane over this!

Chances of contracting herpes through a hand job is very minimal. She would have had to touch herself during an active phase of an outbreak and immediately touched your genitals.

Herpes is spread by skin to skin contact. It is not spread by blood or body fluids. The virus is very fragile, and it is difficult to transfer unless you have physical contact with the area that is shedding the virus.

It would be far more likely to contract genital herpes from someone who gave you oral sex and did not know they have the cold sore virus or by having "safe sex" with someone who is positive for herpes. Almost 90% of the population has some form of herpes, and most do not know it. 25 - 40% of adults have genital herpes. It is very common, so the risk of contracting it is very real. Lack of symptoms is not a reason to assume lack of the virus.

If you are still concerned, you should go in and get a blood test in about 12-16 weeks after exposure. But if you do have it, the chance of you getting it from this experience would be unlikely.

If you are really concerned go to the doctor and get checked out. I think the symptoms can lie dormant for a while, so yeah, you should be worried and go see a doctor, and next time, choose a better girl to get a handjob from.

Hi Big, Go to your doctor and tell him you are in fear that you have been in contacted with someone who has herpes. He will give you a shot just incase you did contract the virus. This way you will not have to worry about it anymore.
