Have you ever been to a store and the sales associate shook your hand? |
Where we work they want us to shake hands, and I have a personal problem with it. I think I am going to look for a different job because I am not comfortable doing it? What do you think about it? 2 months agoIs you did have a sales associate shake your hand, what retail store was it? Some businesses may require you to shake hands with the potential client as a greeting or to "seal" a purchase. If you're not comfortable with it, talk to you manager or supervisor to see if there is any way to get around shaking hands with customers. If not, you may want to look at finding a new job if you don't feel comfortable shaking hands with the customers. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! I don't see anything wrong with it. I think that customer service is a lost art form in this day and age. It is too easy to park yourself behind a cash register, and not deal with customers. I will go out of my way to shop somewhere that remembers what a personal greeting means. If you are not comfortable with the new rules, then you should find a position somewhere else. (Try Walmart, they have NO customer service skills / contact) lign="right" > Sign in to vote! That's rediculus that you'd leave. Having the person shake your hand creates a proffessional atmosphere and makes the customer feel important. Don't think of it as them being introduced to you, it's just a job. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! |
