Have you ever been the target of "new employee initiation" at one of your jobs? |
What did they make you do? I worked at Chick-fil-A for two years, and when I got the job there, they told me that part of my duties was to go around to all the ketchup bottles in the dining area and make sure they were topped off. I was handed a bag full of the little "ketchup packets", and was told to get busy. I spent hours out there filling them up using those little packets...when the boss came out and started laughing. He patted me on the back and said. "I see they have you busy; welcome aboard, Daniel." As he was walking away, he turned around and said "Oh, by the way....those are disposable bottles. We have cases full of them in the stockroom." That's pretty mild. I got that once too, long ago. I worked at a clothing store and they sent me on a wild goose chase for "shelf stretchers." It's just an affectionate way of welcoming you to the club. lol...nothing like that, no. Can't believe you fell for that. I wasn't but one of the other girls was. She was told that the goats had gotten out of the gate and she had to call the boss and have them rounded up. We had no goats. But man did she fall for it. She was calling all around town looking for the boss. Yes. In my first job in a funeral parlor I was given a saddle and instructed to give donkey rides to other staff around the office. I got fired because I refused to make neighing and trotting noises when I did it. lol this is funny. ...I really hate that part when you get the job at first and you don't know the rules. :) yes,I'm a vet tech, and my first day of work, they tied testicles to my antenna That is cute.... Just another reason to love that Chick Fil A....a great company BTW.... |
