Does how you graduate in college determine job? |
Im going to college next year and i was wondering, in any graduate school, if you graduate with some honor( deans list, etc) does that have an impact on how easy you can find a job and the salary you will get? thanks! i think i should add that im planning on staying and working in chicago after med school In a world in which the majority have an undergraduate degree, differentiating oneself from others means getting a graduate degree. hence, there will almost certainly be a difference. Actually, in the corporate world I'm in, it also depends on who you know! Unfortunately, not where I live. Every job I've every had was through someone I knew, not my resume or achievements. When you graduate with honors, this basically tells the employer that you are a dedicated worker and automatically places you in a reliable, respectable category. I think yes, because if I am a boss and I want to chose one two officer and they are equal in every thing I will chose whose his GPA is higher. Another thing is that if you are the highest student with your GPA(grades) you can mention that in your CV when you are applying to a job. |
