It is also a good idea to talk to professors in your department. Often times they will hire graduate students to work as research assistants as well as to grade papers and exams.

Check with human resources[personnel dept.] of that university.

When you are accepted to a graduate program, contact the head of your program about any opportunities which might arise. Most graduate assistantships are selected by the program head, then distributed among the various faculty and other situations which need help.
