Should universities organize jobs for graduates?

Should universities organize jobs for graduates?

I believe all universities should do their best to place their graduates in jobs.

Oftentimes the department chair takes this responsibility but the problem is that sometimes not all department chairs follow through.

Some universities have placement offices and I think that is the best solution provided the placement personnel are on the ball.

s

No, not directly. They should be able providing students with any kind of information needed to find a job THEMSELVES. Of course it would be a great thing if universities could provide such a service. However it's not their duty, and maybe they don't have the staff even if they wanted to - some asstistance would be great but not really "organizing".
