I need a job making more than $55,000, but did not graduate college. What job would give me the best chance?

Find a union truck driving job. You still have to get some training and a years experience, but you can make upwards of $70,000 a year, its hard, frustrating work, with long hours and time spent away from home,but it pays well as long as its union.

I have done all 4, and the last one is the hardest but the most rewarding. Your best bet if your under 25 or really any age, is to get schooling in Heavy Equipment(6 months and $1,200 at most) and get in somewhere and put your time in, I made well over 45,000 net my 4th year in. Forget about these TV inspired jobs where u can make 50k in a few months, crab fishing, ice truck driving, ect. Be realistic and never take a job just for the cash, you must love what you do in order to be happy in life. Stay away from truck driving, its not all its made out to be, you will not make more than 50,000 a year ever in most cases. pay in the industry is over-rated and untrue.

Lots of jobs pay 55k or more without college, but most require experience, and all require hard work. You can make 55k in a sales job that pays commissions - if your good at sales. If you like to work with your hands, then you can make good money welding. With some computer skills you can learn CAD and work in drafting/design and make big money. Actually a good job to have without having a college education is believe it or not is a car salesman. You can get a job right away because it normally isn't a job people keep for long. It is a high pressure job and a lot of people get sick of it after a while but, if you are a people person then you can make $55,000 easy. Being a plumber or electrician, carpenter takes time. You have to go to school for that first, especially if you want to be in a union. The school for becoming a plumber etc. usually takes about a year then you have to become an apprentice for about 5 years then you become a journeymen and that is were you make good money. But, you can't just start being a plumber without having gone to a technical school. Really your best bet is to be a Car Salesman. Plenty of those jobs out there, sometime they even give you a signing bonus. Just look in your local newspaper and you will find dozens of listings. Ok, I hope this helps and good luck.

You have to work your way up through a company...I started as a Receptionist now i am the Office Manager. Hard work and dedication.

Try realestate, stockbrokercar salesman, litigation, sales, or going for a craftwork. Either become an administrative assistant. It also helps if you move into a bigger city, like New York City. If anything, start your own business. Don;t forget to go to temp agencies, they'll help you out alot. You can go to craigslist, glocap, indeed.con or other job websites with more positive output.

I'm speaking from experience. I didn't finish college and I started as a secretary. Now I'm earning a pretty decent salary, where I can actually pay off my debts and- have enough to spare for going back to school (if i want to.)

btw- I forgot: try bartending too! Just watch them, and read some recipe books.
