Are you a Fashion studies graduate from Parsons (New school in NY) ? If are you are can i ask you a question ?

Hello There ,

I'm looking for fashion stdies graduates that graduated from Parsons new school for design in Ny .I'm considering taking this i wanted to know if students were successful after they graduated ,Was it worth the hefty tuition ,and most importantly was it hard finding a job after you graduated .If you are a graduate please reply.

While I haven't attended nor graduated from any school in fashion design, I have been in academics & the working world long enough a few things that may help you:

1. "Schools of design" that strictly stick to nothing but design are great, but in the area of academia and to many businesses, it is considered a "technical school."
2. To have businesses respect your craft in fashion studies, the best avenue would be to research which colleges or universities in your area (or nationwide for that matter) have solid programs in fashion studies or fashion design. Typically, schools that have engineering, architecture, or good art programs will also carry fashion design.
3. You will find your tuition goes further in a university setting than a school of design. This is because you will earn an overall education rather than just for your craft. The diploma carries weight, in other words.

Good luck, & happy hunting!

i am not a graduated but ... look up onto google ... amazing what you can find on it ... i typed parsons school and had to many answer .... so go and refin the research ... type in keywords ... i am sure you will find something

good luck
