People say Im overqualified to take "labor jobs" like mcdonalds, ect. but even if i lie, doesnt my social secu?

I had as people that I couldnt get a job since Im overqualified, they say to "dumb down" my application, example, instead im a College student i would put highschool graduate only.Ive been a University student for 2 months studying "computer arts in animation major" and my credit card is piling up, thats why i need labor jobs. But even if i lie in my application, doesnt my social security number still shows my record and my education level? So that means I cant get a job anymore till i graduate?

thank you for the ans.

Who are the people that say to dumb down your applications? The people that are hiring you or someone else? If I were you, I would put all that I am doing on my application, and make sure to drive home the point that you really need the income, and will be a hard worker at the job. Then, after you put in your application, call everyday to hear about it (if the opening has been filled), be polite and curteous on the phone. If the business that you are applying to thinks that you are serious about the job, they will most likely hire you.

soc security only gives the employer a place to send payments, not info. Still not a good idea to lie as most will make that a reason for termination.

"Ditto on that". I am licensed in the State of Michigan, very well educated, and am not currently working. I have had to delete educational foundations on my resume. I also have come to answer the interviewer statement that I'm "overqualified" with, "So, that means I am qualified." I have dummed down my resume in the past. Doesn't seem right after you work so hard for the degree, certification, license - to be qualified in a field you wish to work. I would search out employers that actually help students pay for their tuition. We have in our metro area a theatre chain that helps with that while you are working for them; and, might help in your computer arts in animation major. I know Burger King also helps in paying college tuition while earning a pay check. Whatever you do, keep going and don't drop the ball, wear a smile, and tell the truth. All my very best to you and I know you are going to make it!!
