How hard is to find a pilot job? |
How hard to find a pilot job after flight school, if I decide to self pay for my flight training which cost a lot but hard to find a job, I will consider a lot befoe I pay for it. any advice from a recent graduates or airline pilot. What's the rate of pilots out there and those have found a job. It usually the inexperience pilot that has trouble finding work, the more hours you have the easier it is to get a job. The first couple of years you will be luck if you making $30K/yr. Once you get the required hours (1500+) you can get airline pilot license and in theory work with a small commuter or regional airline. One l you acquire the experience needed you qualify for higher paying jobs with national or major airlines. Regional and low-fare airlines offer the best opportunities; pilots attempting to get jobs at the major airlines face strong competition. Most of the pilots I know got most of their hours flying in the military. You might also consider the Coast Guard Reserves. A few joined a flying club to get more hours flying. Report It |
