The problem with my current job is that it hardly pays enough. I've been there for four years. I have been trying to get out of this job for a while for a better paying one. Now I really need to save $$. The tuition is pretty high for the schools I am interested in. I was told that it's not good to start a job and then have to leave after a few months. It might hurt my recommendations. But I'll probably be going to another administrative job. Is temp work the answer?
take the $$. if you are there only a short time, you can cover that up on a resume...not even mention it...who cares. bottom line is that school will help you move beyond admin jobs. admin jobs should be for the highest cash at this point...or flexibility if you plan to continue while attending school. maybe you can find a firm which has tuition reimbursement. good luck...you will get there just keep plugging away and seeking more education! If you're honest with them up front that you plan on going away to school, but might still like to work over breaks its best. Then they won't be shocked and put into a panic when you do leave. Temp work could be a good solution, too, so its worth looking into.
