Is it true that if your are a graduate of "Hotel and Restaurant Management," it is difficult to find jobs? |
I am taking this course and I'm confused if I would continue taking it or shift from nursing or bs psychology. I chose bs psychology for I would like to be a doctor yet they say it is difficult to find a job for this course. I chose nursing for it is in demand which leds me to more job oppurtunities. The problem is I like HRM and bs pyschology for they interest me; nursing is not really my interest but I'm willing to take it for a good salary. Forget HRM. I've got a friend who worked in the field at a high level with a music degree (rather than HRM), and another who has the degree and is working in the laundry and as a baker for $9/hour. If you do psych, your grades better be good enough for a graduate program, because the bachelors alone is pretty useless. If you want to be a doctor, having a nursing background looks pretty good on the application and you can go the psych route then. I'd really say stick with nursing. There're shortages around the world, so you're pretty much guaranteed a good, high paying job when you graduate, and the degree travels well, so you can work abroad if or whenever you want to.
