Usually long does it take someone to find a job after they graduate? |
Unfortunately I'm not one of those who has a job in hand for them when they are graduate. I'm done with school in 5 weeks with a B.S. in Finance. I want a job now because I don't want to move back home. It seems like my frield is really competitive. Depends how much effort you put into it. Does your resume say that you are looking for a specific job or is it vague and leaves the decision up to the employer to figure out what you want to do. An objective of finding an interesting job goes into the waste basket. An objective of finding a sales job where I can utilize my strong interpersonal skills gets kicked over to the sales dept. Are you only looking at ads or are you taking out the yellow pages and calling companies in your field and asking if you can fax over a resume and to who's attention. Only 10% of all jobs get advertised. Have you told everyone you know you are looking? 70% of people get their jobs through someone they know. indefinite it all depends on you and how hard you look to find the right position hope this helps http://www.searchdub.com http://www.pcgiant.co.uk It took me 6 months the first time, but I didn't have a major problem because I was temping. Good luck! If you have a good Business degree in Finance you should expect to get a job within 4 months. Um, which place are you graduating from? I'd probably get straight A's there...lol. You should go to your career center at your college. Most people have them lined up in their JUNIOR year if they do not plan to go to grad school. |
