What is the fastest way to get a job for a fresh graduate without any working experience? |
Have they stopped to hire the fresh graduates,i have been looking hard for a job since a long time invain, and every comapany i knocked at its door was seeking work experience, how am i gonna gain experience without starting my career?,i have tried everything ,headhunters, posting my resume on the internet, phone calls, recruitmrnt agents. Internships help, but sadly, if you're already out of school you probably won't be able to get any. Your best bet is to apply with temp agencies. Whatever your field, there are temp agencies in that field, and they can help you find temporary projects to work on. 1. Get an internship in the industry you want to be in 2. Hire a consultant to look over your resume and interview so you can get an honest opinion of where you're going wrong Your English is lacking. Perhaps they wonder how you got through college and cannot write. Most companies require a college graduate to be able to write a letter. At least have someone go over your resume and be sure it has good grammar and punctuation, spelling, etc. Sorry not meant to be rude. Work on your resume. It's probably the second most important thing you can work on. Networking would be the first. Let people know you are looking for a job. Friends, family, relatives, acquaintances ...these are the people who have the connections and inside information on job openings. A lot of positions are filled before they ever make it to the public. Your network can also let you know when jobs are opening up or act as a reference for jobs you are applying to. If you are looking for jobs at big companies, most of them have a "college" section. Look in there and a lot of the jobs are targeted at new graduates with little to no work experience. For example: - Bank of America: http://www.bankofamerica.com/careers/ind... - Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/college/default... - Boeing: http://www.boeing.com/employment/college... - Google: http://www.google.com/support/jobs/bin/s... etc... Your resume is the first thing employers see when they look at a potential candidate. Make sure yours stands out. Avoid broad generalizations like "I'm a people-person." Make sure you back up everything you say with an example. The hardest part is fitting everything onto one page. Since you're a fresh graduate (I assume from college?), put some of your past coursework on your resume. For example, I put my accounting classes and marketing classes on my resume. I was able to go a little further into detail on those and highlight a project I worked on (all in 3-4 sentences). If the company allows it, attach a cover letter as well. This will really make your application stand out from everyone else's, as well as give you another chance to highlight your key attributes and what you would bring to the company. Lastly, include key words in your resume. A lot of employers filter their resumes out now, so this is an important point. Use words such as leadership, strong communication skills, etc. graduated in June 2006 and got a full-time job two months later at a great company :) Most organization unless taking in management trainees, do not hire fresh graduate. So the candidate has to figure out a way of joining the organization. You can volunteer in the organization with the hope that the next time a position will be available, you will be automatically considered or you can apply for an internship with the company. You can also apply to relieve someone who will not be available for a specific period of time. Organization normally like people they have worked with as opposed to fresh faces unless otherwise work on your resume and make it an excellent one to get job, which suits your interest. You should take the help of consultant to make an attractive resume. Then You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit http://ommc.blogspot.com I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.) |
