Of course - companies are crying out for new graduates with good degrees and some business experience. Source(s): http://www.jobsbiz.com
yes.
i did
yes its possible! I graduated last May in Criminal Justice and had essentially 0 experience. I got a job in a law firm in September and it was only the 4th job I applied to. Having a college degree looks good!
Need more information--are you graduating from high school, college? What are you interested in? Where are you looking? The job market is very good right now--if you are in college, go to the school and get your ID number for MonsterTrack, do some research in the library for companies in your area, etc. Do some research and get a name/email address and start emailing your resume. Don't restrict yourself to 1 narrow area and think about your skills--are you a good communicator, a good writer, etc. My daughter majored in History and had a consulting job in Healthcare before she graduated last May. The company wanted her ability to learn quickly, her ability to write clearly, and her enthusiasm. Good luck.
Hi
Of course, but how much time and thought have you given during your studies to what job you really want to do? Why did you do a degree in the first place? Has that changed and the world moved on - it so often does! As a 'post grad' you can tap into the careers advisors at your place of learning or any Uni nearby. Try Connexions online if you want some help with identifying a job goal. Then put together a CV that is a bit special and targeted towards companies that can offer you a first step on the ladder of your chosen career goal. Make sure your profile reads like the 'person spec' of the job you are after. Your CV should change as often as the 'person spec' in any job you are pursuing. This is not so difficult if you think about the many transferable skills you have gained at Uni, in temp work and at leisure. Make a list but have plenty of paper.
Agency work keeps the wolf from the door, sure. It has other uses too. It gives you something to put on your CV dated 2007. Shows a work ethic and is a source of a job reference.
Good luck,
Alan
