I am living in Turkiye. having BS degree on MIS. There is only one private company having MIS department.
Is it the same in other countries? What job does MIS graduates do abroad?
Quite a few companies looking for MIS Directors in the United States refuse to hire even U.S. graduates of MIS for the simple fact that established MIS students tend to have prejudice for a certain platform, be it Windows, Unix/Linux, or Macintosh. Also they feel that long time students of Computer Science carry bad habits with them that never truely go away. Thus most MIS departments prefer to hire beginners who show an aptitude for computers. |
