Right now I'm switching between GS-11 government jobs, will I get to kept my months of GS-11 experience?

I've already been a GS-11 for 10 months and I'm keeping the same job title in the same agency. Will I lose that experience and have to start my GS-11 year over again? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Generally, you can carry over your GS level and time in. If the job requires a grade cut say to a GS-9, you then start off at GS-9 but at "step" just above your last one as a GS-11 so you don't lose pay and you get to keep your time in.
