Why does the government give coloured people the shortlist to top jobs?

when people who work hard all thier lives get pushed a side dont get me wrong i believe in an equal opertunity society but the more you try as a person the more you should be rewarded thats that now the government has told the police force and the armed forces that they want black people on shortlists for promotion i think thats almost reverse racism if your working class and white your screwed is what message comes from this its discusting the ballance has shifted too far the other way i mean if your white whats the point to join the army or get a job your screwed eastern european imagrants work bloody hard why not them who get promotion the government is sending the wrong message to british white people as a result im in fear of loosng my identity and culture a fair way to promote people is on merrit not race we cant live like this its a bloody insult to blacks from a government who want to look good to the rest of the e.u insulting all our inteligence black and white alike

We do not operate policies like this in the UK. No body gets job priority unless they worked darn hard for it or Daddies connections got them the job ( and they're rich white english toffs). we live in a meritocracy. If you can't be bothered to get some skills to offer in the job market then don't complain about hard working immigrants who actually want to work really hard.
And please, get over your self, you're not losing your identiy- how do you come up with such crap.
BTW, eastern Europeans are white.

Coloured people? We're past the '50s, and that's considered an offensive term today.

Reverse racism? Show me one place where racism is defined as exclusively white against black. Racism is racism, to reverse it would be to not be racist anymore.

Now, take a look at all of the billionaires in America, all of the CEOs of large corporations, your boss, my boss, etc. What percentage of those people aren't white? It's pretty low. The higher you get on the salary chain, the fewer black people (or latino people, etc) you see.

You can get an education. You can work hard. You can get hired anywhere. It's not the "black man" standing in your way, it's yourself.

Can you provide links to this? I hadn't heard about the government promoting anything of the like?
